About
This program was created to support supervisors, schools, and organizations that need qualified, fluent, language-informed professionals to conduct interpreter assessments, annual reviews, and performance feedback. It is especially useful in settings where supervisors may be responsible for evaluating interpreters even when they are not fully fluent in ASL or formally trained in interpreter evaluation, assessment, and feedback practices. This service helps fill that gap by providing thoughtful, informed evaluation from experienced professionals. It is also available for individual interpreters who want meaningful, professional feedback on their work, a clearer understanding of their current performance, or support in identifying next steps for growth. This can be especially valuable for interpreters working in isolation or without regular access to mentorship, structured feedback, or language-rich professional support. Participants complete a one-time interpreter assessment and receive detailed written and/or verbal feedback, a personalized coaching plan, and access to a discounted online coaching session with one of our experienced evaluators. Focus areas may include ASL grammar and production, language features, use of space, fluency, interpreting choices, and overall performance. Participants leave with a stronger understanding of their strengths, areas for improvement, and practical next steps for continued development. Prior EIPA or NIC results may also be incorporated when available as part of the assessment and coaching process. For financial options or support, please email admin@accessatl.org
