CEU GS 0.1 Workshop Description Freelance interpreters manage a variety of professional and administrative responsibilities in addition to providing interpreting services. These responsibilities may include organizing assignments, maintaining client information, managing schedules, creating invoices, recording expenses and mileage, tracking payments, and keeping professional credentials current. This workshop explores how technology can support the organization of a freelance interpreting practice. Through a guided demonstration of Ten99, participants will examine tools and workflows designed to bring common business tasks and records into one organized system. Participants will follow a digital workflow from the initial assignment request through scheduling, documentation, invoicing, payment tracking, and recordkeeping. They will also consider how the demonstrated features compare with the tools and processes they currently use in their own professional practices. Learning Objectives and Outcomes By the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to: 1. **Identify** common administrative responsibilities associated with managing freelance interpreting work. 2. **Describe** how technology can be used to organize assignments, schedules, client information, invoices, payments, expenses, mileage, and professional credentials. 3. **Examine** a digital workflow for managing an interpreting assignment from the initial request through invoicing and payment tracking. 4. **Compare** the demonstrated tools and features with their current methods of organizing freelance interpreting work.
